Pastor Doug came to FBCM in October, 2020. He’s been in ministry for over 25 years, serving in churches in Kentucky, Louisiana and Georgia. He and his wife, Marcha, have four children together: Peter, Zachariah, Marina and Noah. His loves in life (outside his family, of course!) include the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tiger Football, going to Disney World, Star Wars, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut crispy thin crust Supreme Pizza and Diet Mountain Dew! His favorite books include: “Crazy Love” by Francis Chan, “Not a Fan” by Kyle Idleman, “Replicate” by Bobby Gallaty, “Experiencing God” by Henry Blackaby, and “Radical” by David Platt. His favorite all-time verse of scripture is Philemon 6 – “and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.” (ESV) We’re part of a team. We’ve been given a mission to do “together”. You can’t live your Christian faith alone. The Christian life is best understood when we’re living it out with others, sharing the love of Jesus Christ in our community and mentoring new Believers into the faith.
