Mike Anderson

With a passion to lead others into God's presence through praise and worship, Mike Anderson serves as the Lead Worshipper of First Baptist. Mike has been on staff here for over 12 years and in full-time worship ministry for over 30 years. He loves leading others into God's presence while also providing a platform of ministry to many others through choirs, band, tech ministries, and in the brand new recording studio.
Mike was born and raised in Tennessee, attended Belmont University in Nashville, and received the Bachelor of Ministry and Master of Ministry in Church Music, Magna Cum Laude, from Covington Theological Seminary. He has served churches in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. Mike has sung with such artists as Sandi Patty, Larnelle Harris, Steve Green, Luke Garrett, Dennis Jernigan, Jim Murray, Geron Davis, Phil Cross, and has shared the ministry platform with John MacArthur, Wayne Barber, Nelson Price, Peter Lord, Ike Reighard, and many others.
Mike released his solo CD, Then and Now, in 2004. In his spare time, Mike enjoys tennis, photography, and running.
