From changing diapers and playing, to reading Bible stories and praying, the preschool ministry of First Baptist Mableton uses the building blocks of love, faith, and trust in God to lay a spiritual foundation for each child to have a relationship with Jesus. This is done in a safe, clean, and fun environment where we partner with you to introduce your child to the life changing story of the gospel.
The preschool area is located directly inside the walk-way through the double glass doors on the rear of the church. When you come in, a greeter will be there to help you check-in your child. Numbered labels and name tags alert teachers to allergies and special needs and provide security in knowing that your preschooler will only be released to the proper adults. Parents will also receive a pager that will notify them if any need arises.
Through a variety of ministries, we strive to communicate the love of Christ to your preschooler - no matter how young. Each lesson and activity is presented in a fun, age-appropriate format with activities, games, and discussions to reinforce the message.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where does my preschooler go on Sunday mornings?
Childcare is provided for children from birth til 2 years of age. Preschoolers age 2 through 5 have Sunday School beginning at 9:15. After Sunday School all preschoolers have Extended Care/Children's Church during the 10:30 Worship Service. Our caregivers seek to make the most of every opportunity to show the children the love of Christ and point them to knowledge of our Lord.
Where does my preschooler go on Wednesdays?
Childcare is provided on the preschool hall for all babies birth thru 2 years of age. Children, ages three to four, go to CUBBIES [AWANA] where they will experience music, games, puppets, crafts, awards, and other activities designed to make fun and learning go hand in hand. Each child will receive their own handbook used to build in your child a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity at an early age.
Do you perform background checks on your teachers?
Absolutely! Each preschool volunteer has had a background check. They are checked again every 3 years. We also require that there be at least 2 teachers with the children at all times.
What do you do to avoid the spread of germs?
Our classrooms, including toys and furnishings, are cleaned and sanitized after each session. We also require that children be free of fever for 24 hours before entering the preschool area. If a child appears ill, they will immediately be removed from the classroom, and parents will be notified. To learn more, please click here for our General Guidelines and Wellness Policy.
